Ricardo is a graduate of Kansas State University, Class of 2017, with a Bachelor of science degree in Kinesiology. EMAW!! He completed and earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Wichita State University in 2020. 

Ricardo has always had an interest in a profession as some sort of healthcare provider and was introduced to physical therapy by a classmate. "After spending some time shadowing physical therapist, I knew it was the profession for me." Ricardo has a solid understanding of orthopedic conditions for chronic pain management and the application of manual therapy for treatments. He has a background in inpatient services with a focus on providing those services on the CVU floor. He also bears a great foundation in providing care in a skilled nursing facility. As an added bonus, he has practiced under a certified Manual therapist. 

Ricardo is passionate about helping others reach their goals and is the primary reason he chose to work in physical therapy. He also enjoys the possibilities of being able to treat at different levels whether in outpatient, inpatient, skilled, or home health. "I enjoy working with physical therapy patients because I get to be a part of the patient’s journey to getting back to themselves. I see them from when they are in a brace to using their arm or leg to get back to doing the things they love." 

Going forward, Ricardo plans to continue learning and adding skills to his toolbox to better serve you. Oh, and if you're a Spanish-first patient, Ricardo is the therapist for you. 

Ricardo loves his family and enjoys traveling. He is a Liberal, KS, native and shadowed at the very clinic at which you can find him today.
